Join a Faith Reimagined Group
You Don’t Have to Navigate This Journey Alone
Leaving or re-examining deeply held beliefs can feel overwhelming. Questions about God, Scripture, church, and identity often come with uncertainty and grief.
Faith Reimagined groups are designed to provide a safe, Christ-centered environment where you can process these questions with others who understand the journey.
Whether you are just beginning to ask questions, have recently left Mormonism, or are seeking a stronger foundation in biblical Christianity, these groups are here to help.
-
A Faith Reimagined group is a safe place for men and women navigating a journey away from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, its beliefs, and its culture. It is designed to help you address the psychological, social, and emotional challenges that often arise when leaving Mormonism, offering healthy ways to move forward based on the lived experiences of others who have overcome similar obstacles.
In these groups, you will find a peer-led support community rather than a formal classroom or therapy session. The environment is built on the values of authenticity and safety, where you can be open about your real doubts, questions, and choices without having to uphold a certain image. To protect this environment, all members follow specific "guardrails," including confidentiality, civil honesty, empathy, and respect.
Over twelve sessions, the group uses short videos and manuals to explore the issues most common to a faith transition, including:
Emotions: Processing religious trauma, grief, anger, and betrayal.
Relationships: Navigating changing dynamics with family and friends and setting healthy boundaries.
Trust: Learning how to build appropriate trust in people and sources after that trust has been broken.
Identity: Discovering who you are and where you belong apart from LDS religious expectations.
Worldview: Exploring new frameworks for truth and reality, specifically focusing on the person of Jesus.
While this series is produced from the perspective of historic, biblical Christianity, it is not a comparative doctrine course. The goal is to provide you with the tools to make intentional, informed choices about your future. There are no hidden intentions or pressure to join a specific church; the focus is on helping you explore a deep, personal relationship with Jesus on your own terms.

A Faith Reimagined group is for men and women navigating a journey away from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS), its beliefs, and its culture. While it is most meaningful for those who have recently made a break with Mormonism, it is for anyone previously associated with the LDS church who wants to be intentional about the choices they face regarding their future.
This community is specifically designed for:
Those seeking connection: If you are looking to interact with others who have been through a similar faith crisis, you will find a peer-led support network that values authenticity over upholding a certain image.
Those processing complex emotions: This group is for you if you need a safe space to address the psychological, social, and emotional challenges of leaving the LDS faith, including feelings of religious trauma, grief, anger, betrayal, or the loss of a long-held identity.
Those wary of religious institutions: If you have lost trust in religious organizations but still want to maintain a space for Jesus Christ in your life, this course offers a way to explore faith without the pressure of "hidden intentions" or immediate recruitment into a new church.
Those wanting to rebuild trust: If your loss of trust in your former church has impacted your faith in God or your confidence in your own discernment, this group provides tools to help you regain appropriate trust in spiritual sources and in yourself.
Ultimately, this group is for anyone who wants to move forward with purpose rather than randomly, making informed and deliberate decisions about their worldview, lifestyle, and who they will become after Mormonism.
This is a program for educational purposes and peer support, not professional therapy. If you are experiencing significant emotional distress, we recommend seeking help from a licensed mental health professional. -
When you join a Faith Reimagined group, you can expect a peer-led support community rather than a formal classroom or therapy session. It is designed to be a safe and authentic place where you can be open about your real doubts, questions, and choices without having to uphold a certain image.
Here is a breakdown of what the experience looks like:
Structure: The journey consists of twelve sessions.
Weekly Format: Each meeting involves watching short videos featuring former Latter-day Saints who share their personal stories. In many sessions, a former LDS professional therapist also provides insights on processing the emotional and psychological aspects of your transition.
Guided Discussion: Following the videos, the group engages in conversation focused on your lived experience. You are considered the expert on your own journey; the facilitator is there to guide the discussion and encourage you, not to have all of the answers.
The Guardrails: To ensure everyone feels safe, the group follows three core practices:
Confidentiality
Civil Honesty
Empathy and Respect
(See section “What’s expected of Participants” for a more robust breakdown of these guardrails)
Topics Covered: The curriculum focuses on the common challenges of a faith transition, including processing religious trauma, navigating strained family relationships, rebuilding broken trust, and discovering a new identity apart from LDS culture.
Perspective: The series is written from the viewpoint of historic, biblical Christianity, focusing specifically on the person of Jesus. However, the goal is not to pressure you into a specific church but to provide you with the tools to make intentional, informed choices about your future worldview and lifestyle.
Personal Resources: You will utilize a User Guide to help you follow along, take notes, and explore application steps or additional online resources at your own pace.

Here is what would be expected of you as a participant:
1. Embrace the "Guardrails"
To keep the group a safe place for everyone, we ask all participants to commit to three core practices:
Confidentiality: You agree to keep the identities and personal stories of other members private.
Civil Honesty: We want you to be real and vulnerable about your questions and doubts. It’s okay to express anger or betrayal, but we ask that you do so without being aggressive or demeaning toward people or institutions.
Empathy and Respect: Everyone’s journey is unique. We ask that you listen attentively, avoid dominating the conversation, and respect the different conclusions or timelines others may have.
2. Be Authentic
You don’t have to uphold a certain image or pretend you have it all figured out. We encourage you to be open about your real struggles and choices. One hundred percent of you is welcome here, including every aspect of your life and transition.
3. Engage with the Journey
During the twelve sessions, we want you to engage by sharing openly and listening intently to other participants so that you can encourage, relate to, and grow alongside others. The kind of relationships we want to build and the type of environment we aim to create thrive when being present and engaged is a priority for all participants. We ask for consistent attendance throughout the group.
4. Prioritize Self-Care and Patience
Leaving an all-encompassing culture is a major life transition. We expect you to:
Be patient with yourself: Unpacking ingrained ideas takes time, and your progress may not be steady.
Avoid comparisons: No pathway is "better" or "worse"; everyone moves at their own speed.
Own your emotions: We encourage you to acknowledge your feelings—whether grief, anger, or hope—as normal parts of the healing process.
5. Maintain an Open Mind
While the series is presented from a historic, biblical Christian perspective, our goal is not to pressure you into a specific church. We simply invite you to be open to examining your old assumptions and exploring a new relationship with Jesus on your own terms.
