  • The Personal Faith Crisis Report (Article — Interactive)

This study was presented to Elder Dieter Uchdorf in 2013. The report was created to assist LDS Church leaders with recommendations targeted at better understanding a faith crisis, in order to better retain members currently in crisis, to repair damaged families, and to prevent faith crises from affecting current & future generations. The research behind the report studies the LDS faith crisis in detail, including the stages of a faith crisis. It provides a wealth of information about the nature of the process of leaving Mormonism, and the issues that affect those who leave.

Jesus is Enough (Website — Interactive)

This website shares stories of others who have travelled the journey out of Mormonism, but who have discovered a new kind of faith by trusting in Jesus alone (Many of the video presenters at Faith Reimaged share their stories in this series.)

Many former Mormons still want a relationship with Jesus, and are exploring the prospect of a new spiritual home in traditional, biblical Christianity. But that journey has challenges – emotional, relational, doctrinal, and cultural. This site compiles short videos on helpful topics.

    Therapists

There are two ways to find a therapist near you.

    • Google. Search for a phrase like  “ex-mormon therapist in my city”, “faith affirming therapist near me”, or just “therapists near me” and see a list of websites.

    • Psychologytoday.com.Select “Find a Therapist” to try their free search platform. You can find a therapist who takes your insurance, and has the qualities they are looking for.

Some credible ex-Mormon therapists will caution you from seeing any therapist through LDS agencies, like Family Services. Because they are employed by the LDS Church, they may be at risk of imposing LDS values, compared to other faith providers. Their commitment to following rules set by the LDS Church may limit their capacity to help someone through a faith crisis related to the LDS Church.
